Make do and use the scraps!

'Buy it, mum'...my little girl persuaded me. The 'it' was a paper bag full of fabric scraps rejected by a patchworker, who no longer wanted to use the scraps. We took the plunge.

When we got home we sorted the scraps into colour ways and hatched a few plans...

I made 5 flower garlands, Hettie created a quilt for Pink Bear (I stitched it together) and here's a scrap making the outer petals of this fabric flower.

In the process we also had a loverly chat with the creator, Viv Sliwka, over at hensteeth, you can buy her beautiful goodies here. I love the way Viv mixes textiles, print and vintage fabric.
